Nada Al-Ajoze
Syrian artist, born in Latakia in 1997, she studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts – Tishreen University in Latakia and graduated in 2020. From 2021 until 2024, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the Painting and Drawing Department.
Her work centers on recapturing daily scenes, with a focus on love, youth, and the complexity of life, those intimate, in-between moments that often go unnoticed but carry profound emotional weight. By studying the subtle dimensions of intimacy and highlighting the quiet spaces where connection exists, even in silence, she reveals the emotional depth and quiet beauty found in what remains hidden.
At the heart of her practice lies the act of truly “seeing” and “feeling.” She explores the tension between survival and self-expression, drawing from themes of memory, vulnerability, displacement, and evolving identity. Through layered visual narratives, she reflects on how our surroundings shape our sense of self and our perception of others, creating a dialogue between contrasting emotional realities.
Using the human figure as a central element, her work evokes feelings of empathy and resilience. Each piece is an attempt to process and communicate lived experience, delicate, raw, and deeply human. Her art invites viewers into a space where stillness speaks, and emotion lingers long after the moment has passed.
